Ingemar Cabinet Small

SEK 49,999.00

The Ingemar cabinet is made from bark beetle spruce and pine, and demonstrates the potential of using Swedish non-standard wood in furniture production. Today the largest and most beautiful trees are too big for the standardized processes of sawmills and usually end up as wood chips, destined for the heating industry. The same fate befalls trees infested with bark beetles, something that in most cases does not significantly affect the quality of the wood.

The cabinet is smoothly opened by turning the sphere on the oversized hinges, that also form the cabinet’s legs. The soft spheres invite to touch, which with the passing of time will give each cabinet its individual DNA. The non-standard opening makes you stop for a moment and challenges the creature of habit in us, like a small adventure in every-day life.
